Set timezone on UBUNTU linux server 2 comments

In UBUNTU Linux server if you want to set TIMEZONE for server.
Following two methods (in shell prompt)
1>
$tzselect
this will allow to select timezone as you need
you need to enter respective digits for particular region.

Or

2>
$export TZ=’Asia/Calcutta’ (for india)
$export TZ=’America/New_York’ (for US)
$export TZ=’US/Central’ (for US/Central)
this works fine in UBUNTU.
Then you need to restart apache.
